Our Programs

Together we create

Through effective collaborations with our school districts, SUNY Morrisville and many community based partners we are able to offer a broad spectrum of supports and opportunities for our students to help meet their individual goals.

Our community and college partners help our program thrive! We have formal partnerships which include SUNY Morrisville CSTEP and Human Services Program, Cornell Cooperative Extension (4H, SNAPEd), Catholic Charities of Chenango County, the Madison County Rural Health Council and Family Planning of South Central NY as well as countless informal collaborations with local business such as NBT, SFCU, Chobani, Unison, Alvogen, Amphenol, The Raymond Corporation and Norwich Meadows. We are dedicated to the individual success of each of our students.  Together we create programming that sets our students on a path toward success!

SUNY Morrisville Liberty Partnerships Mission and Vision

Provide participants with academic support, character and leadership development, as well as opportunities to give back to their communities through service learning and community service.

Academic Support

Advocates communicate regularly with school district administration, teachers, counselors, social workers and other support staff to provide tutoring, academic and social emotional support, as well as community engagement opportunities for our students.  SUNY Morrisville also offers additional tutoring support to our students.

Encourage participants to excel academically by providing career and college exploration, guidance and connection to the community.

Personal Learning Plans (PLP)

All students create personal learning plans which help them set academic, career, social and personal goals.  Advocates monitor and support students in achieving these goals throughout the year.

Social Emotional Assessments

Students complete a social emotional assessment which helps them identify their own personal strengths and opportunities for growth.  Advocates then provide programming to foster the development of these skills through group and individual activities and community collaborations.

Establish support systems and connect participants with available community resources.  Participants also have opportunities to develop life, leadership and job skills.

Students are encouraged to participate in volunteer initiatives and civic engagement activities to help advance their leadership skills and help them positively contribute to their local communities.

Guide participants toward academic advancement, personal development and transitioning into the next phase in their lives.

College and Career Exploration

In addition to setting goals in their PLP, our advocates and SUNY Morrisville personnel provide students and families with opportunities for college and career exploration, they assist with the college application process and they support students in preparing for employment.

We accomplish these goals through a case management model, strong connections within our schools, community support and by offering information, support and assistance in numerous service categories while always keeping the social emotional well being and academic progress of our students at the forefront of our attention.
